The Spirit of 61 Scout Museum:

The museum will have two formats; an online, virtual museum and a portable museum with displays that can be set up at Courts of Honor, Scout Sunday, Camporees, Troop Open Houses, and other special events.

Which is it Troop 61 or 861?

Our troop was originally chartered on June 1, 1961 as Troop 61 of the She-Ko-Fa (Sheboygan, Kohler, and Sheboygan Falls) District of the Kettle Moraine Council.  In 1973, when six northeast Wisconsin councils merged to become the Bay Lakes Council, Troop 61 became Troop 861.  For years the troop continued to be referred to as "61", in fact as late as the early 1990's many of the Scouts still had "61" numerals on their uniforms.

Banner Image:

The Banner Image is the Original Troop 61 Flag.  In 1987, the Scouts and Scouters of Troop 861 signed the flag, William "Green Bar Bill" Hillcourt sent one of his signature patches to be sewn on, the flag was given to Camp Rokilio that year during summer camp.  It was hung from the rafters in the Dining Hall there for many years until being taken down due to health code regulations.
