The Troop 861 Rouser lyrics were written by former Scoutmaster Louis Milsted, and the music was composed by George N. Larson, a longtime music teacher at Sheboygan North High School as well as Director of the (Door) Peninsula Chamber Singers.

The line "we proudly wear the red and white" alludes to the red and white neckerchiefs worn by the Scouts of 61.
